Dr. Akiko Akanuma is a board-certified, licensed Chiropractor with over 3 years of experience in the field of Chiropractic care. She treats patients of all ages - from infants to elderly. She graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences, where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree in 2021. Her undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Biology from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to the San Gabriel Valley at the age of 13.
Dr. Akiko’s dedication to advancing her knowledge and skills is evident through her continuous professional development and certification in Webster technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and Certificate of X-Ray Supervision & Operation (California Department of Public Health). She practices the use of diversified adjustments, instrument-assisted adjustments, myofascial release techniques, therapeutic taping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue work. She specializes in treating prenatal and pediatric patients.
